With the album Choses vues… et chantées! – The Voices of Victor Hugo, Pauline Courtin, Antoine Palloc and Christophe Barbier pay tribute to this towering figure. Soprano, pianist and narrator weave a dialogue between music and literature, combining songs composed on Hugo’s poetry by Fauré, Bizet, Liszt, Hahn, and Britten, with excerpts from Choses vues — a deeply personal journal chronicling a life of engagement.
