Rachmaninoff: Fragments
Dmitry Masleev
AP448 - 1CD - 62' - Nov 6, 2026

First Prize winner of the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2015, Dmitry Masleev now presents an all-Rachmaninoff album, featuring the sublime Corelli Variations and Études-Tableaux, alongside some of the composer’s exquisite miniatures, including the relatively early romances 'Zdes khorosho' and 'Ne poy, krasavitsa', which open a window onto Rachmaninoff’s sumptuous lyrical vein.

Dmitry Masleev introduces the album in these words:

“I would be very happy if even just one piece on this album were to spark a genuine interest in a young listener and inspire them to delve further into Sergei Rachmaninoff’s musical world. It reminds me of my school years, when I happened upon a recording of an Étude-Tableau in D minor – a work I had never heard before. I think I listened to it ten times in a row, before setting out to discover every work by Rachmaninoff I could get hold of. From that day on, his music has never left me.”
